Czech Hospodářské noviny quoted the latest Essential Ukraine, that the war in Ukraine is shifting into a prolonged phase of strategic adjustment, where neither side is capable of decisive breakthroughs. Instead, the conflict is increasingly defined by attrition, with both Russia and Ukraine adapting tactically while preparing for a longer confrontation. Jarábik noted that Ukraine faces mounting pressure from manpower constraints and uncertainty over sustained Western support, while Russia continues to rely on its resource advantages, but withouth a possibility of a breakthrough. In this context, the focus is gradually moving from expectations of victory toward managing the war’s long-term trajectory and its political consequences.
